Y is it that they wanna change me. i was wondering about how work was going. I was becoming LESS enthused about being there. I like working. But i just feel like i was loosing the edge i used to get from the job…:( I used to b able to think about the new “problem” @ work and get charged about getting back in to try a new solution. i guess i like puzzles. or at least ones i figure i have a chance to solve..:) recnetly Temple remodeled a building to becmome it’s new “mega -lab” Sporting 600+ work stations, breakout rooms equipd with 50” plasma displays and wireless for presentations and a newer helpdesk facilatiy with all new bells and whistles. I was able to help set up the macs in the lab areas and had fun bc there where a few issues with “ghosting” and network/logon issues which needed solving. After they were fixed though .. it was bak to the OLD ECC lab Ever rent or get to drive a sweet 2005/2005 luxury vehicle.for a weekend .and then have to get BAK into ur car to your older car? Sure ur car is fine.. but you miss things. The TECh center is lined with gigabit ethernet. Most labs CLAIM to have 100 MB. Most homes uses 10 MB. So think abotu it liek this. ur copying a movie from one computer to another. on 10MB, it might take 45mins to copy 500megs. Using 100MB you get that doen to maybe 7-14 mins depending on load and other traffic. ON A GIGABIT.. aka 1000MB * ruffly* u sucking down the movie at like 1min..1.5 mins. talk about THIRST! lol
It’s great when you have to transfer a lot of data to computers, and you want it done quickly. If you highway isnt wide and moving fast enough .. then you either get traffic jams or ur waiting for a LONG TIME. That;s my issue in the ECC. The equipment there is so old.. that it’s impossible to test NEW technology.

So i guess as part of my sub-conscince protest *lol* I lost a set of keys. Well they were found but within 10 mins of getting them i missplaced them onthe tour was being given and didnt realize they were missing for about a half hour…:( Not the best way to keep a job.esp when they belong to ur director. Someone in the group found it and everyone got a nice laugh at my exp bc they knew i lost it and werent tellingme who had it.

oh.. There was a fire in the ECC.. well under it. lol Apperently they were doign work inthe ducts and while weilding something caught fire and had our lab pretty smokey. All is well but we found out that the lab is LACKING SMOKE DETECTORS..:( Well i’m guessing that with the upgrades coming this summer it will be part of the budget..lol.. Poor old building.

Ok.. my cell plan is about up and i’m looking to get feedbak about who likes what and who i shoudl try now. I had ATT and was step-childed into Cingular. BUT according to Cingular, ” ur plan is still under @tt. we just own it.” So i’m still onthe crap ATT network. I’m curious about cingular, and hear good things but i think the best quality service woudl come from Verizon. So i’m asking everyone for input. Who do you have? What do you like? what do you hate?

I’m goingto try for a treo 650 or 700 for my fone but i’m also open to any others. A friend suggested the Nokia 6170

Not better off… Actually in some cases i think i’m missing out on great aspects i gave up.

But today i realize that I’m not as different as I thought I was. I’ve changed some. But i’m still me. I was thinking i was a NEW DAVE. colder, more direct, less vulerable. No, I think i’m more serious.. about somethings, more knowledgible, more experienced, and better able to deal with situation that years bak would crumbled me. Now if I can solve this “ON TIME” and follow thru aka procrastination issue, id b PERFECT! I think. maybe. Some of what i’ve learned:

• You can not live for or as others. Ur life is yours to live and no one else’s

• Life is too long AND too short. When ur younger it takes 4ever for things to come. It seems that holidays, b-days, school semeters, Luv take too long. As you get older it FLYES by. MONTHS go by in DAYS, YEARS jump by like months. You’re dead.. or ppl you know are dead b4 you get to really see what the world is like.
• PPL are stupid.. and i am stupid along with them.
• There are NO ALIENs… but there ARE Ghosts. * this is a personal thing so those who wish to disagree. Please feel welcomed.
• Luv comes and goes. Tru luv is 1 part timing, and 2 part working together to keep it working. If one or the other pulls out… there’s issues and NO ONE wins.
• Children are expensive. The “joy” they bring MUST out wiegh the cost in $$ and stress bc.. well.. ppl keep having them. I want to be that PPL someday soon…;)
• Learning is on going but SCHOOLING DOES END! *” but if i were to go bak to college, think what the loser i’d b. I’d sit in the quad, and i’d say ‘Oh my God,’ these kids are so much YOUNGER than me…..eeeee…eeeeeee….eeee “
• Finish what you start. The sooner the better. * this used to be why not put of till tomorrow, that which is due till the day after. Still works at times but bad for life( unless ur on vacation .)
• take your time to make up ur mind.. BUT make it up! lol yes… if you can not make up ur mind… make something up. Atleast you gave an answer. Like the SATs, leave NOTHING blank. A decision is not long waiting. It either will or wont work and you have to deal with it from there. Not deciding just has you missing out..and hurts others. Business waits for no man!
• In photography like in war.. FOCUS, shoot first, last and OFTEN. I luv Digital.:) oh and always have an excuse ready. It’s good when ur someplace you dont belong, and someone wants to know why you are there…lol
• PRAYER DOES WORK! U should be VERY wary what/who you wish/want/pray for. U might just get it. Always…ALWAYS be specific. When you get it, you might realize that you 4got to ask for a spoon with that soup. Then what do you do?
• Fear lil, run often, try anything you think you want atleast 2x.

• Blood pudding.. not my thing.

• goats meat..also OF MY LIST! LOL

• Tell ppl you luv them while you can, BUT DONT say it unless you really mean it. NOT kinda mean it and not forced bc THEY said it first. Say it to mom, dad, sis, family friends, Luvs.. old and new. Dont just drop it out of ur mouth bc u think it fits OR to gain something. IT will get you later.
• PAY YOUR BILLS… It just ezier to knock them out than to have you stressed about it later. Debt is not for the “progessive.” GIVE ;and owe not!
• Take time for you. Bc .. no one else will. And for those who try.. u’ll just get mad at them for not doing it the way you wanted to. Save them the trouble and you the stress. Find a hooby, find a career, find a reason. lol GET A CLUE!

I’m sure there are more, but i’m not going to think them all out now.. I’d b here ALL DAY . For those reading..add some if ud like.

i’m on campus, getting some work done in the TECH Center… and i;m not sure if i feel more upset that i’m older.. or that these students are SERIOUSLY YOUNG! It’s like HS all over again. lol I really dont remember being THIS YOUNG AND CARE-FREE. I wish i could warn them…lol

I was driving to temple and saw a VERY funny thing. Well i thoght it was funny. I need a good point and shoot digital bc i wish i caught this. anyway. Driving around campus and I saw the oddest thing. harry Potter with a brush mustach! Ok.. not really him .. but some guy wearing the SAME rounded specs.. and hair type.. and basic LOOK but he was sporting a BRUSH-STACHE!!!! NO ONE should have these things. lol It didnt look good in the 70’s It aitn working NOW!

I’m debating if I should try to finish playing SilentHill *ps1, b4 the movie gets released in mid April.

I started playing it a while bak and between getting scared… (anyone who played Resident evil .. in the dark.. knows what i’m talking about..:))and just lost in the city, ( i never made it out of the school yard) I just stop playing. Now with the movie coming out, it’s like read a novel which has been turn into a movie. So stop lauging all you HarryPotter-philes and LOTR ppl.

Oh.. the story line. Silent Hill from what i gathered is just a deep mystery. U play a char who, after getting into car accident with ur daughter, you wake to find her missing and you search a local town of Silent Hill to seek help. Weird thing, when you get to the town, it’s vacant. Weirder yet.. ur alone inthe this vacant town and monsters and zoombiw types seem to be following you around. So now ur stuck in the remote town, no clues, no help, no gun.. wait you do meet a person or two. I think a cop chic shows and some others. but it’s night time, ur kid’s missing, the monsters are coming and the fog is THICK! YEah.. now fun times for you. So you ahve to find out what’s going on and hopefully find ur daughter to get out of there b4…well I’ll not ruin the game.. or movie.
Yeah, I think i’ll play it. That way i can compare atleast.
