Well most ppl know I’m still in recovery from having items stolen from my car last year. Camera and Equipment…:( Work’s laptop…:( and other items all gone. But as another step toward recovery, Apple has decided to help me out. Well I guess it’s nothing but positive customer service on their part but to me, it’s a great act of understanding.
On a chance I emailed the customer service folks @ Apple and asked if anything could be done , bc my PURCHASED music was stolen when the iPod and Laptop ” ran off.” WITHIN 24 hours, i get a reply that “…Apple will let you redownload (at no charge) all the titles you purchased on this account that are still available.”
That equaled out to 110 songs… about 5 full cd titles and a bunch off singles.
Wait a min… I guess that means that over the course of 3 years I’ve spent about 110$ in MUSIC!!!! D@MN… lol I never thought of it that way.
Well Apple was kind enough to allow me to re-download what i bought and that makes me HAPPY! I guess that just makes sense for them too bc it keeps me a Happy customer who will CONTINUE to buy from them, knowing that looked out for me. lol AHhhh business. Sometimes it works out well in spite of the monopolies

OK. As some of you know, I’ve been waiting FOREVER to FINALLY replace the camera and equipment that was stolen from me so long ago..:( circa jul 2006. It’s been coming up on a YEAR since i shot anything. * I sound like a reitred NRA member… lol. I’ve had the itch to get bak to the photograhy for so long that i even thought about just giving up. But I’m sooooo close now. I saved up, and should have most of the $$ to get new and NEWER equipment. I had an older 2nd hand Canon 10d. I luv that cam. It was my 1st digi and my 2nd SLR.
I have recently found my 1st SLR and it’s seen better days. It was in ALL PLACES, the trash area out by my parent garage. I last remember having/using it during my sister grad.. um bak in 2001! Yes.. MIA for THAT LONG! But I have it. If I ever thought about going bak to film, I’d clean it up and try it out. Only things wrong with it as i can tell would be a dented lens and a dead battery for the light meter. i’m not shelling out $$ for that
So I’m serching and searching the series of tubes called the “interweb” for great online deals. Anyone who buys online know you can get some nice savings of between $15-50 or avr. discount compared to Brick and mortar stores. Sometimes you even get GREAT discounts. But then there are the cases where too good to be tru IS too good to be tru. Why cant ppl just be HONEST. If you can give a great deal, GIVE IT. If not.. dont be @sses! Consumers work hard and want to feel that they are getting as much as possible
Temple had a presentation given from the Microsoft folks to showoff a few new features of Vista. Please forgive any personal bias FOR Apple’s OS X, but i think I can give an object account. OK.. Her ewe go. * clears throat.
YO VISTA IS WACK!!!!! HA SUCKAS… you got hosed… AGAIN !!!!!
But no really Microsoft Vista looks to be a sweet upgrade from XP and the previous OSs. Only issue… MICROSOFT UR LATE AGAIN !!!!! Let’s look at a few things.
Explorer 7.0 ummm TAB BROWSING? Get real. This just isn’t NEW anymore. When Firefox and other browsers were doing this a year or so ago.. ya should have just dropped IE 7 then. But ya waited for Vista…. now it’s LATE! And STILL Slow as @#$@#! OK… Ummm Widgets… i mean GADGETS. Yes. I think they are well done, useful, and well designed… but LATE AGAIN! Widgets.. which Apple stole.. borrowed.. re-developed *lol*with OS X has been having users drooling for umm maybe 2 years now. How about file searches…? yet LATE TOO. Dude… i can use Spotlight, which searches all over to find what ever snippet of text I happen to search for. It even checks documents to see if the word is found within it. So if u are looking a document and ur looking for the name “Jil.” U type that in and any instance found is listed by type and location. Yup been there… done that. One feature I DO like about Vista u can get an active preview of the doc or file. That’s pretty sweet. Saves the trouble of opening the app if you were looking for something quick.
Well Maybe this review was a bit more .. biased than I thought. Ok. last comparison. I don’t see this OS upgrade as a reason to stay with MS or switch back. I DO think this upgrade is a very good improvement over the previous versions. I guess watching others and modeling to “norm” makes for a better os. Apple only gets away with it bc the fan-boy defenders don’t care. Its Anti-MS so that make s it cool their book..:)
I would recommend the upgrade if ppl are buying new.. or have the hardware to run it. I don’t see anything special beyond that fact it’s just designed better than previous versions of WINDOWS. Time will show how reliable and “safe” the unit is. It doesn’t work with all current apps yet.. or better ur current apps may not run well if at all on the newer OS. Many things under the hood have been changed. It’s more or less being designed for the NEXT stage of Computing and forcing the industry and the masses to play catch up. Hey Apple did…. ppl bitched.. dealt with it and are benefiting now from the changes. MS ppl.. Good Luck:)

ok.. while returning to the office after a.. restful lunch, I’m walking past an office to hear a convo that follows something like this:
woman voice – “wow that’s pretty big instrument you have there!”
man voice – *chuckles ” well i guess it is” Both laugh briefly
ok… setting: I”m walking the hallways between two buildings i work in. In front of me i see a gentleman carrying a guitar or a large violin in a case, slug over his shoulder. He’s far enough in front of me that he can turn a corner to reach an office a few seconds b4 i get there. So as i walked pass.. that was the convo i walked pass.
LOL… all i could do was smile and continue to my office.
I think i might have to switch this to a vlog…lol
While setting up a set of computers in NEW RENOVATED area @ work… we looking up and this panel is just FLOATING. THE AC/Heating system airflow just has this single panel just gliding in place.
I thought was cool and had to share.
