I don’t know. martha has ust “fallen” for the Doctot WAY too fast. And she’s too SMART to be a sidekick. I just dont dig her as much as Rose in this role.

the Lost season finale fix is over for me. I may or may not be r eturning next season. I kinda got what i wanted. well i’m settling. I know that they get off the island at SOME point so i dont care much about WAAAALLLLLLLT… or his pops and where they went to . I hope they say the Island made Waltet kill Mike so he could stay on the Island. nothing like coming close to being voted off the island tht makes a boy into a MAN.. as you all saw.. The black smoke creature is just the Sandman from Spiderman 3 and the Dharma project is nothing more than a spook operation. I’m starting to conspirire that the island is time based and there some shift or “fountain of youth” thing going on. But anyway… the series is more or less over for me, even though it’s claimed that it has 3 more seasons left. Blah. On to my new fix
PPl have been bandwagoning HEROES for a while now and i final got to see what the whole “hooplah” is about. well in part thanks to C, as paybak for getting her into LOST. lol so after 7 hours or watching Heroes and a beedtime of 4 am.. i have to agree that heros is really good. Comic book styled, even though i dont think the actual comic woudl hold my attention as well as this show has. It’s pretty simplistic, and cliched “muties coming of age” story JUST at the time that some kind of WORLD changing disaster is about to take place. But i think i just MISS i good comic book adventures from my youth and this fills that void nicely.

I went through a bunch of sites tring to find all the eps. since i missed ALL of se 1. But fortunatly 10NBC has gone the route of 6ABC and posted the full eps -with pauses- online for ppl to stream. That’s pretty cool. Put a positive angle to ppl wanted good shows but who DONT want to pay 60-100 bucks to shows they luved like 6 months prior. It’s instant and profitable.

keep this up and I think much of the “pirate” market will slow. I was in walmart and they had serval GOOD movie , like each of the LOTR movies. each was $7.99. when those movies were released on dvd it was 21$ PER. maybe $50something for the 3 pak. Now they price dropped to something that makes sence to ME! I could * hypothetically speaking” make a bakup copy via say.. netflix or block buster for about $3-4 . that’s reantal and media. 1.5 hours later.. i had have a copy of a movie i WANT which woudl have cost $18-$25… but $.32 for them to MAKE. yeah yeah.. production and advertising COST blah blah blah! Make good movie CHEAP AND QUICK and ppl wont go to Jim on the corner as fast to get his CRAP release of Pirates 3 with 2 other movies for $10. I thnk MOR eppl would stop over and grab the GOOD copies for $7-$10 EZ!

I was listening to NPR and an “old guy” of age 70 just went back to being a head of operations for GM. When asked what his “DREAM” car would be he plugged a pretty cool looking, currently concept, soon to be in production “green” car. This is the Chevy VOLT.

I posted this cool looking car to a few ppl and got back a response saying “…our electricity bills will go up..lol Can’t cars just run on something that’s not expensive like Pepsi !!” Which got me to thinking, well how right is this. Given the nature of ppl’s greed… lol i mean capitalist ideas, just because electric is cheaper NOW doesnt mean that in relation to current oil prices it wont equal out to the same $$ in the future. Electricity has a few advantages to my knowledge over oil.
1) it’s can be stored and recycled cheaper.
2) environmentally safer than oil… * generally speaking, depending on how it’s produced. Nuclear vs Hydro vs wind vs….
3)It’s renewable… which is kinda like # 1.. but who cares.
Anyway. I’m curious if anyone else thinks we are just hoping on the latest “cause” bandwagon. There is a definite issue with energy and global harmony, but are we just making the next speed bump on our road to doom?

Time will tell i guess.

How sad. I was @ the gym. Was walking to the stairs which lead to the upstairs, indoor, track. I pass the front entry-way, and as i did i saw a student walking in. This student was pretty “normal.” He was wearing brown t-shirt, pants, and a single sling bak pak. I’m listening to music getting ready for my run when i notice this guy. When i first saw him I was thinking , “hmm I wonder if he’s from Egypt or somewhere close.” I kept walking and my peripheral caught that he was not walking to the locker rooms behind us but toward the stair which lead to the track i was going to. at that point is where i think i became racist. My next thought was , “could this dude be going to the track to start some ish? No one takes a pak to the track esp when you aren’t even dressed for running.” So I stop and figure I’ll wait and watch to see where this guy is going and what he’s planning to do. No need for him to be behind me. I turn and because i had music playing i didn’t hear him when he spoke to me the 1st time. As i approached him he he asked me where the changing area was. I smiled and told him, and he went. And i went bak to the track.

So I’m a racist or just a “victim of the media scare tactics” or BOTH! With the media coverage of this like the VT incident and of course the impact of Sept 11th I’m afraid that I reacting to stuff i used to not even think about. I really felt bad about it. Is this what white women feel when I’m walking down street behind them and they get all rigid? I’m no threat.

I take way too long to type these things so here’s a BRIEF briefing on what my week was like.

- Saw 28 weeks later. Great time more bc i was able to hang with a friend of mine i haven’t really hung with in a while. i’ll see 28 weeks later again. But if they think they want to make this a tril .. It would be a SAD mistake. Well maybe… depending on how they spun it.

- Did an event in NY. Met really cool ppl. Networked a bit i guess. Got to see interaction and took many personal observations. I like that my camera gives me access to areas which really dont involving me directly. I get to have an opinion but not have to share bc “i’m not there”

-did what i’m deeming my 1st event shoot. I’ve done some minor work but a friend of mine asked if i would be THE photographer for a Mother day Tea event she’s sponsored. oh BOY do i have ALOT to learn. The Pro Photo side has ALOT more than just flicking a few shots. Am i up for the challenge..? time will tell. I HAVE to get into printing and learn about lights..:(

-Work prepping to plan for summer. Taking classes, seminars, projects. Should be a busy time.

-still looking into houses. I’m tired of steps. I ready for jumps.

-Planing to get some more travel time in this year. Next week should be up in NY to show mom a few spots Including MOMA. I’ve never been so it should be fun. I trying to get out to see a friend of mine in AZ. spend a little time out there. And i’m really hoping that we can drive to catch another buddy of mine in Vegas for a day maybe. I think i’m just planing my time to max out foto ops. I’m going to be a picture taking somebody this year

I saw Spiderman 3 this week. caught it 2x; but that’s not a good thing really. The movie itself wasnt that great. I’m glad i didnt go in expecting much. From the previews and the history of “Directors Liberties” I knew they changed aspects that really dont need to be altered. But they do, and did.. and the movie as a depiction of SPIDERMAN as read by us comic book reader was a let down. As for the movie. It was filmed well, but areas were.. rushed.

I guess to make to movie 3x as GREAT as the 1st or 2nd movie, “they” figured it made sense to have 3x the villains. Just not needed. They are doing a great job with showing the “real life” personal issues Peter Parker has and how his SPidey side affects and is affected by it. My issue is Spider knew when situations were too much for him he sought help. The RIGHT help! Another issue i WISH the Marvel ppl would fix is they have all these heroes but NONE of them seem to be co-existing. Just an example. FF4, the tower…. it’s IN NY. The X-men mansion, not too far. The Punisher,Cloak and Dagger and a few other MOVIE MADE heroes make their homes around NY also. So when the town is being savaged by the SAND Monster from LOST* now i can guess where that thing goes when it’s not chancing Locke* or when the BLACK Suited TERROR is webbing taxis with dumb big toothed, fake red/brown heads and dump truck 50 floors in the air, there ARE other heroes available to lead a hand.

Spidey had to take on Venom AND the Sandman @ a time that both should have killed him EZ. But bc the movie makers DONT GET IT * IMO* they had a villian/friend help JUST enough to let Spiderman triumph overt evil SOLO.
But when spidey got into trouble he swing by FF4 towers and get help from Mr. Fantasic or the Human Torch. They were great friends. And it’s NOT like the FF4 had much to do. Spidey is handling the day to day villians. This movie woudl ahve been SAVED if when spidey was catching it the worst the FF4 has swung in to lead a hand.
Heck the comic version has spider man geting help from them ANYWAY to get rid of teh suit in the first place. And when spidey need anti-Venom help the Human Torch was there to due his part.

Look here marvel , STOP SNITCHIN… wait no. STOP LETTING these directors @#$@# up the PERFECTLY great stories that are ALREADY DONE. Stop letting them change $%*&! it’s driving me nutts! You all see what you get when you “improve” on the what’s already perfect.. you get the Star wars digitally enhanced CRAP series and the bs form the prequels. thanks Lucas, over icing a cake just makes a MESS!

I just wish that if you are making films that ppl have a clue about , that it shoudl stay tru to the books. Dont get overly creative bc you need to add film drama. The books HAVE drama.. and action. just add actors who FIT THE PART, and side dialogue to fill the spaces between the panels. Else just film the comics. It would make for better movies and happier movie goers

Everyone complains about “us” not having our own but we HAVE to support. Else it all goes away.:(
I’m referring to the Pearl Theaters in NORTH Philly on Temple’s Campus. This a NICE theatre. i’m sure many of you have gone to see movies @ the Bridge and @ 40th st. This place is very similar. Full seating, Retractable armrests for comfort and “snuggle space.” Large screens and high priced tickets. Lol I’m hoping the last one wont kill it. One advantage is LOCATION. ONE simple block from the subway stop of C.B Moore Ave. with Parking in the rear. This is key because anyone who wants to see a movie HATES the hassle of finding parking or traveling far.

One issue i have with 40thstreet and del ave is that they TOO FAR. Not to mention that Del Ave is DIRTY as SIN and Ghetto as I can’t say here. If i was @ work and want to see a movie, the closest spot is a MIN drive of 15-20mins, giving traffic. Taking septa, 45-60 MIN! But there is a under promoted, easily accessible, clean, comfy and SAFE theater across the street from my building.
Well even if you dont happen to live/work in North Phila, I willing to bet that most ppl pass thru North on a pretty regular routine. Orange Line takers, Broad street drivers. You pass this place OFTEN!
I dont want this place to go out of business and be known as the Pearl which was casts b4 swine. -swine being the ppl of N. Phila as some “priviledged folk” might see them-
