I was asked to video dr. William Cosby jr. today as he spoke to educators about to enter the field of education as teachers. He was energetic, direct, funny, but … isn’t part of the presentation.. ur presence? In this shot.. you can see what I’m talking about.

The other speakers came DRESSED to present…. The Dean of Education @ Temple and even Temple’s President was there. But mr, Cosby… Shoes sir, and BLACK SOCKS!!!!

Is this an example of a person who has just reached a point where he’s personal presences is LESS important than his message. And should be over-looked bc .. well he IS Bill Cosby!!??

I’ve been working on getting all the Family Guy dvd.. so every month i get ONE!!!
Vol. 5 is out.. so i’ll get that this pay.. but i think i might have to double up bc there are 5 vols of NEWS RADIO also. So vol 5 of family…. HILLARIOUS…. and vol one of News radio.

Why do i feel that i should post this…? Bc .. I know that some of you LIKE these shows too.. and if you want to borrow them… I gotz ‘em

i dont really know if they do or not but if the “resume” of “work experience” shows you can do something well… why not doing legally? The phone sex industry is a HUGE market. Wouldnt these…urban street walkers be SAFER AND MAKE MORE.. by sitting HOME and staying to schedule?

I had a moment of panic on friday evening. the first few times out on the new night job, I was shot-gunning with the head-guy. This friday night I flew solo. I was sent to cover a club called Dreemz in olde city. I get there after getting my OFFICIAL shirt -BAM- Get to the door.. walk in W/O paying or getting carded.-AWESOME- Found my contact persons, and the night began. I set the cam up with the rig I’m supposed to use. On shoots i use a Flip bracket and a flash diffuser, which make my already big bulky camera, bigger and MORE awkward looking. But using them make taking the pictures better. So I piece together the equipment and take a few test shots. once ppl start seeing that I’m the ” camera guy for NightLife” I start feeling like the wounded seal in a shark tank… lol I’m just being circled till one moves in and want a picture taken. Then 2 more.. then it’s a foto-feeding frenzy. EVERYONE wants to be “cam’ed.” so I’m like, “cool i can handle this.” I raise the camera. Frame the ppl and… NOTHING! The flash doesn’t go off. I adjust some settings and again.. nadda. No errors reading on the LCD. I bought NEW batteries. I swithed them with NEWER batteries. I’m just not getting the response i need. I then get it to atleast click but it doesn’t sync with the flash, so my pictures are coming out BLACK bc NO LIGHT. so i have ppl lined up to start taking shots but i have no working cam:(. I’m panicked bc i don’t want to look like the COMPLETE N00b and I’m frustrated. so after a few FAIL shots i just say ” i cant take any pictures right now… and just walk out the club.

I break down the equipment and start eliminating piece by piece the setup. i get everything back together and take a few tests.. PERFECT again. So bak into the lion’s pit go. This place as 2 floors. I BOMBED on the 1st floor so i ‘bravely” trek upstairs. get to the top stair and two ladies are chillin. I’m skitzzen to NOT look like an @ss AGAIN. They want shots. I take one, two , 3 shots. everything is workin’ fine! ppl see the flash and the shark picture-pool is back.

over all it was a good nite. i learned to break-down and reset my equipment quickly. My composition on shots is improving and it was just ..fun!

I have been chatting with ppl about Apple’s release of the “iTouch” and newer iPod lines. Capacity has been a buzz topic, along with design. One person is a little pissed bc a WEEK ago he bought a 30gig video iPod…and now Apple releases the redesigned 80gig for the SAME price he spent for the “old” 30gig. SALTY! Sorry dude.

So I’m re-organizing my iTunes Library.. and JUST IN MUSIC.. not including Podcasts, i have 26.5 days of music. yeah… that’s abotu 30+ gigs of audio. Some are audio books but still. I want to get an “iTouch” but the largest one is “only” 16 gigs. I cant downgrade THAT drastically….lol
oh.. whoa is me.

Tech Folk.. sometimes you just need to know ur ip. For WHATEVER reason.. but YOU know that you need to have them digits. u could do an ipconfig/ifconfig from a DOS/Unix prompt… but what if… for sake of arguing, you dont have that access. U go online and get the add from there… right?

Apple announce my Christmas gift today. Think iPhone w/o the phone. “full” TOUCH screen iPod.!!!! I have one delema….:( the max is 16gigs. I have a 60.. that 6-0, gig currently and i use much more than 16 gigs of it. So I’d be taking a size cut just to get a fuller, cooler, smoother viewing experience.
Thoughts?

the iPod Touch is sexy… but size as in capacity is the only factor. lol. Not the price.

I’m just getting in from SOLO… I WISH it was a StarWars themed club..but then it would be kinda whack! lol I think it was the former club Egypt. Why was i there you say… I’m moonlighting as , what else, a photoguy for a company called NightLifeLink.com They seem get px from different clubs and events from NY to SC and have local shooters hit events to get ppl doing their THANG. I even ran into a family member of a friend at the spot. She seemed quite surprised to see me there. Am i THAT recluse. lol

Time to U/L these pictures. The contact guy i shot with today seems to like what i’ve done thus far. I’m guessing i did good bc the equipment he lent me, he told me to hold on to it. so now i’m outfitted witha bracket and flash bounce. SWEET! I get some rechargable batteries for the flash and it’s CAKE! He might just like that i have my own equipment and can take a clear picture. That’s cool. I’m getting out and around so i’m having fun.

Wish i could say the same about the romance part of life.. wait not about getting out and around just, i wish it was cool. things get better.. things get worse… life goes on.
